01Pressure

It usually starts
with a letter.

Missed bond payments. Calls from the bank. A summons, legal action, the fear of a sale in execution. It is heavy, it is lonely — and it is far more common than you think. The sooner you look at your options, the more of them you have.

02Assessment

First, we understand
your whole picture.

A free, confidential assessment looks at what your property is worth, what you owe, your equity and income, where you are in any legal process — and, most importantly, what you want for your family.

  • Property value
  • Bond & arrears
  • Equity
  • Income
  • Legal stage
  • Your goal

05New chapter

A new chapter,
on your terms.

Recover and stay. Sell with structure. Take the time you need. Resolve the pressure and start afresh. Every family’s story is different — and every one starts with a single conversation.

Four ways forward

One goal: the right outcome
for your home and your family.

Whether you want to avoid a repossession sale or a sale in execution, or release equity in your home without a loan, each solution is a structured property transaction managed by Real Estate Assist, usually with an investor partner. Which one fits depends on your equity, your income and what you want next.

A rehabilitation plan to stay in your home

Recovery

Stay in your home while you get back on your feet — with the potential to buy it back.

Best suited when youHave equityHave income

An investor buys your property and leases it back to you, so you can keep living in a familiar place while you work on settling short-term debt and creditors. Ownership passes to the investor and you rent the home; the agreement can include an option to repurchase it at a predetermined price within an agreed time frame.

Start my free assessment
  1. 1Investor purchases the property from you
  2. 2You stay on as the tenant
  3. 3You work on your recovery while the financial pressure eases
  4. 4You may exercise your option to repurchase at the agreed price
  • Peace of mind while you recover
  • Stability — stay in your familiar environment
  • Structured relief — arrangements with your bond and creditors may be included
  • A potential repurchase on agreed terms

Every solution depends on an assessment of your circumstances and the terms agreed in writing — and, where an investor is involved, on their participation. An investor may buy, improve or help structure the transaction. Outcomes are not guaranteed, and the structure, relevant costs and next steps are explained before you decide to proceed.

Questions

Before you reach out.

Does Real Estate Assist give loans?

No. We are not a bank or a conventional lender, and we are not debt review. We offer structured real estate solutions that may use your property and the value in it.

Do I need to own property?

Yes. Our homeowner solutions require ownership of residential property in South Africa.

What exactly is property equity?

It’s the value of your property minus what you still owe on it. Substantial equity can create more options — your assessment shows what yours may make possible.

What if my credit record is bad or I’m under debt review?

You can still complete the assessment. It isn’t a bank-approval check; it looks at your property, what’s owed, your income and your goal.

Does this mean I have to sell my home?

Every route involves a transaction on your property. With Recovery, an investor buys the home and you stay on as a tenant, with the potential to buy it back; the other routes are structured sales or settlements. Your assessment shows which is realistic for you.

Could an investor become involved?

Yes. An investor may purchase, improve or later resell the property, or help structure the transaction. The structure is explained to you before you decide.

Can you guarantee that you will stop an auction?

No. No outcome can be guaranteed. The legal stage, the time available, the property’s value, the debt and your equity all determine what may be possible — which is why it helps to reach out early.

What happens after I complete the assessment?

Your information is reviewed. If your pre-qualification shows a realistic route, you’ll receive a link to the full application, and a Real Estate Solution Specialist will be in touch to talk through your options.

How is my information handled?

Confidentially, and in line with our privacy policy.

Every way forward
starts with a conversation.
